glitter cobbler
Terry de Havilland is famous for his store Cobblers to the World on the King's Road, the maker of stage shoes for many of the glam rock stars of the early 1970s. People like Mick Jagger, Elton John and David Bowie, other clients included Bianca Jagger, Angie Bowie, Shirley Bassey and Rudolph Nureyev. Known for tiered, serpentine wedges and platform boots, in gleaming metallics, psychedelic colours and neon-snakeskin. His signature material was snakeskin, both natural and metallic. He claims most of his designs he came up with while on acid or coming down from it.
Terry relaunched his business in 2004 and is now back in high demand.
