"Idols" is a collection of photographs Gilles Larrain took around 1973 of colorful characters he met in New York and got into his studio. He really captures their great individual style. They are Cockettes, Warhol folks and artists of that day. Gives you a great peek into past New York. As I went to post this at the last minute I came across an interview with Gilles conducted by Ryan McGinley. Have a look.
