Enjoyed seeing this bold production of the Magic Flute a few months ago preformed at the San Francisco Opera.
Art direction by Japanese ceramic artist Jun Kaneko.

gold, coral, turqouise

I went to the opera this week to see Aida. Sets & costumes by one of my heros Zandra Rhodes.
It was an absolutely breathtaking production. A turquoise & coral dream with floating swirling golden pleats.
Zandra's own work has such an Egyptian influence that it was a perfect pairing. So many beautiful details I could rattle on & on- the blue elephant with wing like ears, the raven and anubis head dresses, the sun ray eye of horus & all the hand painted capes & gowns. A brilliant production.
**Jo Belle- you were sorely missed- I'll see you soooon! xx
